Richard Atkinson
Deputy Chairman
Richard has worked full-time within Maxi Group since graduating with an Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1996. Having worked in the family business since age 14 in various roles and locations throughout the UK and Ireland Richard is now a Deputy Chairman of the Group based in Group HQ in Irvine and in overall charge of the Haulage Division along with some other executive functions.
Robin Allan
Director
Robin developed a keen interest in trucks from an early age and completed an apprenticeship as an HGV mechanic. In 1976 he joined Joseph Hoyle Transport as a Garage Supervisor at the Derbyshire depot before moving to Wakefield in 1980 as Depot Manager and Engineer. He was then part of a management buy-out in 1986.
Robin retired from his management roles in 2020 but remains a non executive director and also undertakes project work when required.
In 1988 Joseph Hoyle Transport was taken over by the Maxi Group and Robin was appointed as General Manager, before moving to Maxi Haulage Ltd in 1994.
Carrieanne Rogerson
Finance Director
Carrieanne lives locally in Irvine with her husband and 3 sons. She gained her Accountancy Degree at the University of Paisley before starting her accountancy career in a local practice, then moving to the PKF LLP Glasgow office to gain her professional qualifications.
Once qualified Carrieanne spent 10 years working for investment bank Morgan Stanley in the legal entity control function. She joined Maxi Haulage in 2016 as Senior Accountant of the Maxi Group of Companies and was appointed as Finance Director in 2020.
