Charity Fundraising for SANDS

As part of Maxi’s development course, Sonya Poppe, Cherry Littler, Rachel Parkinson and Rob Kenwright were set the challenge to organise a charity event.

With groups in previous years raising up to £20,000 for their charities the bar has been set extremely high for us but we are determined to do our absolute best for our chosen charity.

As a group we have decided to raise money for SANDS, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, who provide support for anyone affected by a stillbirth or neonatal death as well as funding research which could help reduce the number of baby deaths in the UK.

This charity is particularly close to Sonya’s heart after her sister lost her baby daughter in March this year. SANDS was there every step of the way, providing support for the entire family then, and still now. Please do use the following link for more information on SANDS and all the amazing support they give to those affected by such a tragedy – www.uk-sands.org

In order to raise as much money as possible we have decided to run a Liverpool 10k, which will certainly be a challenge for us all and training has already begun! Furthermore, we are going to attempt to break a Guinness world record and get Maxi’s name in the record book. We have yet to confirm which record we are going to break so be sure to look out for that.

And finally, we will be hosting a golf tournament in the Warrington area early next summer, which will be followed by a quiz night for all to enjoy. We will also have a raffle, giving everyone the chance to win some prizes which have so very kindly been donated to this great cause.

If you would like to help us with our fundraising you can donate directly to our fundraising page – https://www.justgiving.com/MAxi-sands or contact the team if you would like to help in some other way at sonyapoppe@maxihaulage.co.uk

100% of all funds raised will go directly to SANDS.

Thank you in advance for any donations.
