Charity Challenge

As part of the Company’s Development Scheme, groups of employees are tasked with raising funds for a chosen charity/charities and to regularly report progress towards fundraising goals.   Since the start of this Charity Challenge over £50k has been raised in support of various charities.

This year there are 2 groups raising funds for charities which include The Cystic Fibrosis Trust, SANDS (the stillbirth and neonatal death charity) and We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.

Debbie Lorimer, Chris Macavoy, Adam Regnowski, Lewis Waite and Will Webber are raising money for The Cystic Fibrosis Trust.  Cystic Fibrosis is a life-shortening genetic condition that slowly destroys the lungs and digestive system and over 10,000 people in the UK live with this disease.  The team are taking part in the Scottish Assault Courses Charity Run on Saturday 8th July and organising a Go Karting night for the end of June/early July.  Debbie has also been fundraising via a bakesale at her local school, selling Easter hampers and is taking part in a sponsored sky dive in July

Rob Kenwright, Cherry Littler, Rachel Parkinson and Sonya Poppe decided to raise money for SANDS who provide support for anyone affected by a stillbirth or neonatal death, as well as funding research which could help reduce the number of baby deaths in the UK.  This charity is particularly close to Sonya’s heart after her sister lost her baby daughter in 2016. SANDS was there every step of the way, providing support for the entire family then, and still now –

Rob, Cherry and Rachel completed the Liverpool 10k run on Sunday 7th May with Sonya completing the Great Women’s 10k in Glasgow on Sunday 4th June.

The team are organising a charity night on Saturday 15th July.  There will also be a raffle giving everyone the chance to win some prizes which have so very kindly been donated to this great cause.

Rob is organising a golf tournament in the Warrington area for early summer, which will be followed by a quiz night for all to enjoy.

If you would like to help them with fundraising you can donate directly to their fundraising page – or contact the team if you would like to help in some other way at
