Alan Miles retires after 29 years as Managing Director of Maxi Haulage Limited.

Under his leadership, the company has grown to a turnover of £80 million and has achieved great success. It has been recognised for providing fantastic customer service, combining efficiency with economy and added value and the developing a large business across Great Britian and Ireland. We wish him a very happy retirement.

Alan’s expertise in road haulage and shipping is recognised as industry leading. Coupled with his great management ability and personnel training has led to a fantastic career at the Maxi Group during our market leading development. He is extremely respected and popular throughout logistic industry in Great Britain and Ireland and will be greatly missed. Alan always presents a happy, positive, helpful outlook. Always focused on solving problems not creating them, making him popular in his business dealings at all levels. Alan will continue to contribute as a part time consultant.

Group Deputy Chairman Richard Atkinson who is responsible for the management of the Haulage division has confirmed that succession planning is firmly in place. Our strong and experienced management team will ensure continued success and will continue to grow the Haulage and Warehousing businesses following Alan’s retirement.
